Similar to my previous post for Travian com10, in terms of strategy and tactics, hereunder is the summary of player rankings (with my In-Game Name blackened) out of 2837 registered players (with 2283 active) for this server:
In the most successful attackers, my account ranked 1447 with 5212 points, barely up the top 50% of registered players. The most obvious reason for this lackluster performance is my propensity to attack idle or inactive players so as not to invite the wrath of big-time players, especially those members of big-time alliances. My account was not that too offensive as in my games in the Philippine servers because our Alliance, Task 24, provided defensive support for a big meta-Alliance, PK. I only farmed nearby Villages for clay, the most needed resource of most of my Villages, because I only conquered one clay oasis. My villages produced far more abundant crops, the excess of which were sold in the Marketplace, and sufficient wood and iron!
My account was responsible for the first conquest for the Alliance. On 14 November 2011, I successfully conquered one of Angus_bg’s village (-183|31), seven days after that member was kicked from Task 24 alliance because of inactivity.
In the most successful defenders, my account ranked 1942 with 3760 points, or in the top 68% of all registered players. With only a few incursions to most of my villages, the low defense points were expected. My guess is that the defensive points only peaked during the last four days prior to the end of the server during the attacks in the secondary Village 01 and two others. None of my Villages became a farm of some players. Attackers of the capital, 00, mostly belonged to the members of the big meta-Alliance, PK, which Task 24 was providing defense. Unfortunately, our Alliance was not in any way acknowledged by the PK leadership, although my big-time PK neighbor stopped attacking my Capital Village, 00, when I did join Task 24!
In the most experienced heroes, my account ranked 1565 with 1950 points, or 55% of all registered players. My Level 5 hero, an Equitis Caesaris, probably gained experience mostly through the successful attacks on several nearby oases. With 1950 points, this meant that this Hero was responsible for decimating a number of Nature Troops. The experience a hero gains by killing a Nature Troop is determined by the upkeep the animal needed. Accordingly, Rat, Spider, Snake and Bat will give just 1 experience point each; Wild Boar and Wolf 2 experience points; Bear, Crocodile and Tiger 3 experience points; and an Elephant 5 experience points. Although sometimes I used the Hero when attacking my farms, most of these farms had only a considerable troops to defend the respective village.
All these Player Statistics only show that even without employing Travian Plus or using the expensive Travian Gold, an ordinary player like me could still exist and enjoy the game. Although unfortunately my conquered Village was reconquered on 22 December by a member of the meta-Alliance, PK, my account was still credited for its first conquest for the Alliance. The conquest was made only to prove a point as well as give an impression to the Task 24 leadership that my Travian account in comx2 was for keeps! This fact was subsequently acknowledged by one of the leaders, and congratulated me for such feat!
Lesson learned: Playing Travian do not really cost that much money (except for Internet subscription)!
